They have been encouraging local residents as well as students to attend in order to voice opinions and concerns about safety and general policing in the area.
Recent incidents in the area have included a sexual assault on a student near Egham train station, aggressive behaviour towards students on Blays Lane in Englefield Green, and even an assault on a student on Ashwood Road.
Students are also being criticised for rowdy behaviour on Lynwood Avenue and Spring Rise in Egham, where their late night conduct is “disrupting the community balance” according to the Police.
Surrey Police have said the surgeries are an attempt to facilitate communication and co-operation in order to “identify problem areas and agree on a positive course of action to help minimise the effect these issues have on the community.”
The surgeries take place on the last Friday of the month, with the next being held at 12pm on Friday 30th January.
