'Ed'ventures at the Fringe - day two

The only criticism I would ever venture to level at the Edinburgh Fringe festival is that there is quite simply too much on offer, undeterred, we ventured to see as much of the range as we could. On the opening day proper of our ‘Ed’venture our attentions were directed at the ‘Only Fools and Actors’ production of ‘Flush’ on at the Annexe. This intrepid band of RoHo students who formed an independent theatre company, having been denied funding for their project by the SURUL, have achieved great success at the Edinburgh Fringe. ‘Flush’ received favourable reviews when it played at the Jane Holloway Hall and the actors have clearly built on their individual performances since then. Through a rainstorm that would have left Noah wishing that he had started building his ark earlier the Edinburgh festival beckoned our quadrangle of intrepid explorers into its artsy bosom as we leapt expectantly from the train.
